Gerhard Stelzhammer at Paleochora Art Week 2019

Gerhard was represented at Paleochora Art Week 2019 with many old and some new sculptures. His works were on display in the old police station, in the Art Flow Gallery and on Stoney Boulevard, where visitors found many of his older sculptures on display. But a completely new sculpture, which is still in the process of being created, was exhibited there as well. The working title of the sculpture: The Mermaid, a marble stone weighing almost 400 kg, which stood on a forklift truck to be worked on. There, Gerhard once again let visitors look over his shoulder at Artist at Work. Many passers-by took the opportunity to talk to the artist.

Gerhard presented his new works in the old police station. After moving and building a house, Gerhard finally had time to devote himself to art again, and so new works were carved in stone and wood. The results are: “The Traveller”, “The Chameleon”, “Felix the Cat” and the “Red Woman”.
